The Texas Rangers are the World Series Champions for the first time in the franchise’s 63-season history. The MLB season is now over with an incredible season from the Rangers that took and won them the 2023 World Series Championship. The Texas Rangers won 11 post-games throughout the whole season, beating the Arizona Diamondbacks by 5-0.
The Rangers rookie star, Evan Carter, made all kinds of history during the postseason. He got on base in each of the Ranger’s 17 post-games. It was a record for a player in his first postseason, and he was also the youngest player since Mickey Mantle to bat third in a World Series game. Then on Wednesday night, he roped a double in the seventh inning, giving him a postseason-record ninth two-bagger. In all, Carter, who got called up from the minors in September, hit a .300 in the playoffs with a home run, nine doubles, 10 walks, and 18 hits in total. Those stats for a Rookie are outstanding and he was one of the main reasons for their victory.
This victory is very special to many, especially Ray Davis who has coached his most successful year. In the last 63 years, the Texas Rangers team deserved this win. Ray Davis is known to be the co-owner and co-chairman of the Texas Rangers and a powerful figure in Major League Baseball. In order to play a role like this, a very expensive cash deal was made and the Rangers were bought for $593 million. The Rangers have only won two World Series so far. Overall, the Texas Rangers did deserve that Championship.
