The internet over the years has gradually gotten worse. In the year 2023, minors ranging from 8-13 have been introduced to the chaotic, online issues. The issues the world continues to face have ended up online and all over the web. The issues range from presidential and political, to traumatic images on the web. Children below the age of 13 make up 22% of the U.S. population, and almost 56% have online accounts on Social Media platforms. Children have a mindset of the internet being a number one priority for them. It is said that the internet is eating young minds alive, and that is an unhealthy start to their future years.
People were excited about the online dating website that was first launched in 1995. The site Match.com was a highly used app when the internet released it. Before the Internet, dating was really simple. People would just date people in their immediate circles. The first law for the expectations of the internet was first amended in 1996. These rules were not recognized by a lot of people, and the dangers of the internet began.
Dating Apps were the key platform for meeting up with people and potentially pulling harmful acts. Though these apps may seem like harmless fun, these apps still have their risks. Anyone could be a victim of assault and other dangerous activities such as fraud and identity theft. A study done at Western Sydney University found that dating apps can lead to increased feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. The overflow of options and constant screening methods before meeting someone in person may give people a sense of control. Staying off of dating apps and any social media platforms will help to reduce criminal activity.

First of all not all dating sites are like this. I met my boyfriend on Plenty Of Fish. He is exactly what I was looking for. Smart, honest, caring, loving and patient. I came with a lot of baggage and he said that I can help you and together we can accomplish this and more. We have been together for 6 years. It didn’t cost us any money to join and find each other. Before you condemn it I have something to ask you. Did you join it?

I’m glad you found your significant other:)
This is my opinion on dating apps and I appreciate your feedback. I have not joined any dating apps considering the fact I’m not looking to hook up, and I’m only in high school.
Thanks!
