On November 10th, 2023, a drug bust took place apprehending 6 people including Jorge Venegas and Jaime Bonilla Morales. They were both arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine. Jesus Zazuete Beltran was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine, lying to a police officer, and possession of paraphernalia. Brian Garcia Rodriguez was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used. Ana Costillo-Delgado was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. Juan Aguilar Duque was arrested for possession of paraphernalia.
The situation started with a phone call to IFPD from the Teton County Sheriff’s office. An abnormally large amount of drugs were being brought through the area in a white Toyota Camry by Jesus Zazuete Beltran. On the same day, officers from the Idaho Falls Police Department and the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office found the Toyota Camry and watched it pull up to a house on Sage Avenue in Idaho Falls. A blue BMW pulled up next to the white Camry for a short amount of time and then drove off. Officers had noticed that the BMW had an obstructed plate, so they pulled over the BMW. Officers requested that a narcotics dog be brought in. The K-9 specialized in narcotics detection. The dog then conducted a free-air sniff of the car and indicated that an illegal substance was in the vehicle.
The officers then searched the vehicles and discovered around 10 pounds of methamphetamine. Officers returned to the house on Sage Avenue with a search warrant and initiated a search. approximately nine pounds of meth, and several items of paraphernalia which have been used for sales, were inside of the home.
