On September 8, 2022, at 3:10 pm, Queen Elizabeth II passed away. Reigning for 70 years and 214 days, the queen died peacefully at Balmoral Castle. Her death certificate reveals that she died from old age, and just hours before her death, doctors became very concerned about her health and “recommended she remain under medical supervision”.

For the first time in 70 years, England now has a king: King Charles III. At age 73, he was the longest-serving heir in history, and now he is the oldest king. Many English citizens are protesting against him, using tags such as “not my king”, and quite a few of them are getting arrested for doing so. Are they wrong for hating on Charles? Looking at his past controversies, such as cheating on Princess Diana and attempting to influence the government, makes it easier to see why they’re so worried.

Before her funeral, citizens lined up to see the queen’s coffin. This lasted for several days, had a length of six miles, and contained a total of 250,000 people.
