Could Electric Vehicles Be Our Future?

Electric vehicles are seen occasionally throughout our everyday lives. But what we don’t expect is electric vehicles will be more common than gas vehicles in years to come. Executives expect 52% of new vehicle sales to be all-electric by 2024. This is thought to be logical since the US and UK are going to stop selling gas vehicles in a few years. But are these vehicles good for us?

It is said that by 2035 the US will discontinue purchases of gas-powered vehicles and so will the UK by 2030. Other countries expect to end fossil fuel vehicles by 2040. Which leads us to be warned when buying gas-powered vehicles. The gas-powered vehicle you buy today could have its resale value drop steeply in the years to come as demand plummets because of people who are transitioning to advanced vehicles. By 2050 gas-powered vehicles are going to be ‘vintage’.

Electric vehicles are a better source of transportation than gas-powered vehicles. The electric vehicle isn’t a whole lot better but gives out less carbon dioxide than a gas-powered vehicle. But an electric vehicle has its disadvantages. It takes a lot of electricity to run these types of vehicles. This could lead to lots of power outages if the power isn’t balanced. Some of these things will be interesting to watch for in the future.
