Microwave Incident In The Seminary Building

Some of you might think that all we do in the Seminary building is preach, but that is not the only thing we do, and at lunch, it can get wild.  Whether it’s someone bringing a Taser, constantly laughing and screaming, or even what happened a couple of weeks ago that involved a microwave… and I was there when it happened.

It seemed like a normal Thursday and at lunchtime, I always go to the Seminary building to eat. I was with a group of boys who hang out in a small room across from the front office and we usually do stupid stuff in that room, but today was the kicker. We were just hanging out saying stupid stuff when one of us took an apple, put it in a paper bowl, then threw it in the microwave, and set the timer to one minute. When we took it out of the microwave, it had made some hot apple juice in the bowl and the apple itself was now soggy and warm. After that, the one who put the apple in the microwave then took a fork and stabbed the apple, and was carrying it around. A couple of minutes later, he took it into the bathroom, started to pour water into the apple, and then proceeded to drink the water out of the apple, he even took a bite out of the apple and ate it.

When lunch was coming to an end, the incident escalated. One of the guys, not the same one that put the apple in the microwave, had a bright and stupid idea. He took some Veggie Straws, put them on a paper towel, and put them in the microwave for one minute. When they took the Veggie Straws out, the Seminary building began to smell. It smelled like toast that had been burnt so badly that it would be extra crunchy. The smell spread everywhere and the Veggie Straws themselves had been burnt and were now black. The next Monday, Brother Kunz, the Seminary Principal, and my dad, went into every room at lunch and announced, “don’t put anything in the microwave that shouldn’t be put in the microwave.” Since then, we haven’t put anything like that in the microwave at all. Maybe this story can show you guys that the Seminary can be fun at lunch.
