Announced on September 1, The new GeForce RTX 3080 will be released on September 17th, 2020 with a starting price of $699 by NVIDIA.

The RTX 3080 is a new graphics card made by NVIDIA, and is part of the new upcoming 30 series. Its frames per second (FPS) exceed its predecessor, the RTX 2080, two times more, according to NVIDIA, with RTX on and with the Highest game settings. The specs of the RTX 3080 are as followed: 

  • NVIDIA CUDA Cores: 8704
  • Boost Clock: 1.71 GHz
  • Memory Size: 10 GB
  • Memory Type: GDDR6X

Another feature of the new Graphics card is DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) that boosts your framerate by up to 150%, and is powered by an AI. With it being RTX, ray tracing can be enabled, adding a more realistic look to your games.

  The Graphics Card has gotten Tech, and some gaming, Youtubers very excited for its release. Even tech geeks over on Social media can’t wait to get their hands on the new graphics Card. The time to render the graphics will be reduced greatly, depending on your current graphics card. Graphics will look more realistic, with the ray tracing, and the smooth frame rates will give, “. . . an amazing gaming experience.” according to NVIDIA.
