Corbyn Stosich: Academic, Athletic, Argumentative

“Accomplished” is another word that could be used to describe Corbyn Stosich (12). Last year, she competed in Big Questions for debate in Houston, Texas, at the National Debate Tournament. This year, she competed in the state playoffs for girls soccer. And currently, she is a Semi-Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship competition, vying with other students in the top 1% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers for a full-ride scholarship anywhere she wants to go.

After high school she wants to be an engineer, and she is looking into various colleges. At the top of her list is the University of Pennsylvania. One of her life goals is “to be rich” and “to do stuff that matters.”

Stosich is passionate about chemistry and physical science. She has even competed with the school Scholastic Team at the Regional Science Bowl in the past. She thinks it would be really cool if she could get a good shout out for chemical engineering.

One thing Stosich loves about herself is her motivation. She gets things done when they need to be done, which helps her to be able to manage playing soccer, left defender position, and doing debate, often Lincoln Douglas style, among other things.

With a school teacher for a mom, education has always been a priority. She has two half siblings. Her zodiac sign is Gemini.  And she thinks Skyline is “for the most part, a good school.”

Her favorite memories have been on the soccer team and with her debate squad. She has had a lot of fun in Skyline and will miss it. Her parting words of advice to younger classmen: “Have fun and not always be about school because you are only a teenager once. Have fun before it goes away.”
