Prom
Skyline’s 2022 prom theme was A Thousand Wishes, it is a soft angelic and elegant theme. This gave motivation to the student body to be dressed in magical ball wear. Boys and girls had on their best during the dance, giving the night a touch of glamor. But even through all the gowns and ties, Skyline’s student body still was able to party through the night. The Prom took place in the gym and it was decorated with balloons, paper lanterns, and cherry blossom trees. In the center of it all was the dance floor and students all crowded close together next to the DJ booth. Some got deep into tune with the music and at one point of the dance, there were students showing off their moves in a dance circle.
There were plenty of glowing and highlighting lights to give the dance floor an electric vibe. Many couples and friends showed up at Prom and the picture booth that was set up had a constant flow of traffic to it. There were also other photo-worthy spots set up around the gym as well. Even some of the music seemed to compliment the scenery. That was until we got deeper into the night and a fog machine was brought out as Konga lines started. Many colors of lights strobed, encouraging us to dance. Giving the feeling of being in a rave, it turned into quite a party! Our student body made Prom night one to remember!
Even throughout the crazy exciting night our chaperones and staff kept us safe. Making sure every student was behaving and even throwing in a few dance moves of their own. By the end of the night, when the last slow song had played, the majority of people had cleared the gym. Yet a few couples still stood and danced to the last beat of the speakers.
