Heise Renovations
Over the summer my family decided to go on a fun camping trip with one of our oldest family friends. My brother and I were really looking forward to being able to enjoy the large pool and water slide, only to have our dreams crushed when we discovered they were completely gone. Well, not completely. The large pool was just closed for renovations.
The pool was scheduled to reopen around July first of this year, however, the opening ended up being delayed. It just took longer to build than they expected. Now, scheduled for September of 2021. Their plan was to make the pool accessible for all seasons; meaning the deck would be heated and the pool would be as well. The pool will be longer and deeper than it was previously
When I went to Heise over the summer, other than the construction, there were already some changes that I noticed. The biggest one being the changing rooms. The changing rooms had been completely redone. They had so much space and everything looked so fresh, but so different from what I could remember. I was a bit intimidated to be completely honest. A good kind of intimidated though. The new changing rooms are absolutely wonderful and judging by the reviews online, everyone seems to agree.
At Heise, they’re not just updating things, they are adding their own, new personal touches. For example: a splash pad. That way kids can play on their own without their parents worrying too much about them. Also, a shaded picnic area. After a long day of being out in the heat swimming, I personally tend to get hungry, and I’m sure other people agree. It’s just another small addition they’re adding that, in the end, will make the Heise experience overall so much more enjoyable.
After the pool renovations, Heise is planning to update the pizza parlor and eventually want to do something with the old hotel. They’re just taking it one project at a time, and I’m sure whatever they decide to do will be great.
So now that you have all the information on the Heise renovations, you may still be wondering, “Why?” The owners are pretty new, as the former ones died in a plane crash a few years back, and they just want to honor the memory of the old owners. They want to keep Heise as a place where future generations can have an enjoyable time and make everlasting memories at, hopefully continuing the legacy of Heise for years to come.
