One point made all the difference to Kade Lincoln (11) as he lost his final match 7-6 to a wrestler from Minico last weekend at the state tournament. The defending state champion placed second in the 120 division. However, he had the best finish for the Skyline team. Cameron Paulson (9) was the only other wrestler from Skyline to place, taking sixth in the 106 division, losing to Caldwell.
Skyline Drum Line sent the wrestlers off with a bang on Thursday, Feb. 23, as they paraded through the halls in the traditional march honoring state hopefuls.
Andrew Myers (11), Kade Lincoln (11), Enrique Cook (10), Cameron Paulsen (9), Cameron Cole (11), Keaton Cushman (10) and Jesus Venegas (11) all earned the opportunity to represent the Grizzlies at the tournament.
