On Sept. 13, 2016, the Skyline Varsity soccer boys took the stripes right off of the Idaho Falls Tigers taking the win with a score of 3-2 with goals from Neil Sanchez (10), Drake Rasmussen(12), and Tyson Ricks(12) . The game was held at Ravsten stadium at Idaho Falls High School. Sanchez played left wing and scored during the second half. “It felt amazing to have scored because it lifted spirits for our team with joy,“ he said. Sanchez, along with many of his teammates, are swingers, meaning they play for JV and Varsity. Swinger Juan Quiroz(9) played in the JV boys game and took the win from the Tigers with a score of 2-0 making both goals. “The team was happy for the win, and I’m proud for the hard work we put in,“ Quiroz said. The team feels outstanding about the win and will strive to keep putting in the hard work as a team. The boys will have their next game in Preston on Sept. 29, 2016.
