District Board comes to a Conclusion

Two weeks after the original meeting, District 91 School Board reconvened February 23rd to discuss policies concerning whether they should continue to mandate masks, as well as reintroduce in-school Fridays. After some deliberation, they came to the conclusion of continuing to enforce mask-wearing, but also have students come in on Fridays, what was previously an online learning day.

These changes will take effect starting Monday, March 8 (start of the third trimester.) Fridays will be late start, with classes beginning at 9:30 instead of the hour earlier. This has prompted some discussion among students and staff, with feelings favoring the “bad decision” side of the argument.
