It isn’t a surprise when 4chan is the source of a big controversy and they have been doing this for years just to get a cheeky laugh or two but these days they’re more impactful the most recent is the mosque shooting due to the shooter being an avid user of 4chan. Naturally this attracted tons of backlash towards 4chan and its users with tons of people saying that 4chan’s users cyber terrorist who are a menaces to society and that they should all be charged for even being on the website, but as always the action of one person who’s apart of any group should not represent the group as a whole. For society nowadays it takes one bad apple to ruin the whole bunch, thing is… 4chan is full of these bad apples but most of them would not dare hurt a soul, this doesn’t really mean they’re dangerous or anything the community is just so scummy, and so weird with a dash of wholesome humanity it makes them unpredictable, such as one time where a fellow member of the weapons board decided to make mustard gas to test out his new mustard gas, he died.

There’s also been a case where a collaboration of boards and a Russian MoD tracked down an ISIS training camp and got it bombed. This is what makes 4chan such an interesting place, people treat it like it really is a websites where cyber terrorists and racists hang out, but in actuality it’s just a bunch of weirdos who like anime, discussing random things, there’s a board for whatever topic each full of loyal users who range from the ages 20-40 years old. Some are crazy, most are relatively normal and live relatively normal lives. 4chan is an escape to some, or some treat it as their home, 4chan is a place where degenerates can live in harmony. They’re the ugly side of a person who just post their thoughts with no filter because it is on a website where anonymity is key.

Well speaking so much of the community what do they themselves think of all this backlash? Surely they too must be heated about basically being slandered and vilified by the normies. But what so many people fail to realise is that a community that make threads specifically about people getting killed aka “rekt” does not care what others think of them. Well, asking the source of these specimens provided the following from the random board (/b/): “F*** You,” “Can’t ruin a reputation if it’s already ruined,” “Ebin,” “This is now a beyblade thread, only post beyblades,” later on this thread was 404’d.

This just goes to show that 4chan takes advantage of free speech to the absolute maximum and are always on the border when it comes to saying illegal things. What you should pick up from this is that 4chan mean no harm, it’s a rare occasion where OP delivers their threats, they don’t mean any harm towards anyone  the NEETS, the incels, the antisocials who just want to say edgy things to make others laugh. Attacking them won’t help any situation and it should be common knowledge that you can’t beat 4chan if you start beef with them.
