The Grizzlies steal the Bees honey in their first game and kick off the season with a record of 2-1. The Grizzly boys played on Nov. 25 at Bonneville against the Bees and defeated them, 64-55. Cruz Taylor (10) had 20 points for the team, Jaden Landes (12) had 14 and Danny Webb (12) had 11.

On Nov. 29, the Grizz once again beat their opponent at home against the Rigby Trojans. Skyline scored on average 13 points a quarter, which led to the final score of 54-52.

Away at Hillcrest, the Grizz played against the Knights and took a hard loss, the score being 53-37. After three quarters, the Knights led by 20 points, but Jodus Bates (11) put up 12 points on the board for the Grizzlies.

Most of the boys on Freshman, JV and varsity played in the state football game which lead to them only being able to practice for a week before playing their first basketball game of the season.  Taylor

said, “I think this season is going to go pretty well for the team. It’s kind of a weird transition from football to basketball so fast, but the boys who didn’t play football put in some hard work at practice while we were gone.”
