On Oct. 28 Skyline’s cross country team went to Eagle Island State Park for state championships. The girls cross country team won state against Twin Falls by 4 points, being the first girl’s team to win state in over several years. State champions include Sariah Harrison (9), Macy Olsen (10), Breanne Herrmann (11), Adria Roberts (10), Brinley Chambers (9), Megan Reed (11) and Ashlyn Chambers (12).  Skyline’s Girls cross country team won 54-48 against Twin Falls, taking home the state trophy for future cross country runners to look at and be inspired by.  “All our hard work from the season paid off. And that is really awesome that it paid off” Olsen (10) said referring to their memorable win. “Cross country is super fun. It’s a lot of work but it’s just super fun. It’s just the joy of my everyday I love running” Harrison (9) said. This win will be a memorable event Skyline and all the girl cross country runners will remember.
