Skyline Business Professionals of America (BPA) rocked the State Convention Apr. 8 and 9 with 10 students qualifying for the National Competition, which will be held on May 10-14 in Orlando, Flor. On top of that, four students placed in the top 15 and nine in the top 20.

Conner Seegmiller (12), who qualified for nationals in both Advanced Office Systems and Procedures and Video Production Team, said he was really proud of him and his partner as well as happy about the turnout that Skyline had. Brianna Lords (12), who qualified nationally in both of her events, Fundamental Word Processing and Basic Office Systems and Procedures, said she couldn’t wait for nationals and was really excited about how she did this weekend.

There were over 300 students at the competition, and ten Skyline High students qualified for Nationals: Melissa Klingler (12), Emma Ostler (12), Conner Seegmiller (12), Brianna Lords (12), Sherikay Hatch (12), Aubrianna Brown (12), Kelsie Gardels (12), Caitlin Nate (12), Steven Nawrocki (12), and Dylan Kaasa (11). Adviser Beverly Hott could not help but brag about her students. “They did an amazing job. They represented Skyline well,” Hott said.
